Road tripping the 928

Road Tripping with any of the four cars usually starts weeks before with a flurry of activity to sort out little niggles, last minute servicing, or a good clean. This road trip started off slightly differently as those last minute jobs had been completed on the 928 sometime in early June for the road Trip to Monaco. A trip to Nine Excellence had sorted out the rear coilover suspension and adjustments to various bits and pieces, but mother nature put paid to the 928's post respray maiden voyage to Europe. A small matter of projected 45C temperature in the south of France and Tuscany in a car where not only had the AC never worked meant that this might turn into an adventure of unpleasant sweltering. So instead we took the Carrera 4 S.

This road trip to the Alpes in August, the expected weather is a little less warm and the distance not so far, but the cargo we required for a holiday in the mountains wouldn't fit in a 911 anyway. The 928 is in good shape generally for a 29 year old car and we are not expecting it to do a journey it has not done before the respray.
