Road Tripping the 928- Destination

One of the issues with taking the three cars on long trips is where they are kept at night while away from home. while they are not sacred cows to be cosseted and protected at all costs, we are fairly careful about where we stay, the kind of parking that is on offer and what the neighbourhood may think. The 928 sticks out like the other two cars don't. It is also very wide and the low ride height is made worse than the 911s as its front overhang is significantly longer. Not a problem in the alps but this would be a problem in Monaco's underground parkings. Generally we check likely accommodation on Google Maps satellite images and leave it at that.

Les Deux Alpes seems to tick many boxes for this road trip. the mountain passes seem lightly trafficked, it has 98 octane fuel, and some nice driving roads for days when we don't feel like cycling. The scenery is the perfect backdrop for photos and it is an hour to the nearest large center which happens to be Grenoble.
